    Sneak Peek
    Sneak Peek

This month's featured "Sneak Peek" is from Practical Clinical Measurement of Stuttering Behaviors: A Practical Course by J. Scott Yaruss Ph.D.

Unfortunately many clinicians are not comfortable measuring stuttering because of the uncertainty of what to measure, conflict and disagreement in the literature, and lack of practice or training opportunities. You can overcome these roadblocks.

This course will answer the following questions:

    • Why should we measure?
    • What should we measure?
    • How should we measure?
    • Where and when should we measure?

You will also learn that you need to measure multiple outcomes considering the speaker's experiences of stuttering and documenting the effects of stuttering from the clients's perspective.

To learn more about how you can develop your skills with actual measurement training examples, sign up now for our newest course, Clinical Measurement of Stuttering Behaviors: A Practical Course by J. Scott Yaruss Ph.D.

Effective treatment for students who stutter should focus on the entire stuttering disorder-not just the observable speech behaviors. This resource highlights clinical skills and strategies that foster long-term success in all areas of a student?s life.

Therapy techniques for the school-aged child who stutters are very different from techniques used with preschoolers and adults. This resource addresses those unique differences with background information, assessment techniques and advice, clinical skill techniques and suggestions for working with parents and teachers ? all of which are designed to help your students become the most effective communicators they can be.
