Author

Michael A. Crary, Ph.D., CCC-SLP Dr. Crary is a professor of Speech-Language Pathology in the Department of Communicative Disorders at the University of Florida Health Science Center. He served as Department Chair from 1995 - 2001. Currently, he is the Director of the Florida Dysphagia Institute, a Type III Center at the Health Science Center. Dr. Crary specializes in disorders of swallowing in adults, and motor speech disorders in children. He has published and lectured extensively, including internationally on these topics. Dr. Crary's clinical achievements were recognized in 1994 with the Florida Speech-Language and Hearing Association's Clinical Achievement Award, and in 1995 with the American Speech-Language-Hearing Associations's Outstanding Clinical Achievement Award.
