Michael E. Groher, Ph.D., CCC-SLP, ASHA Fellow Michael E. Groher, Ph.D. is well known for his extensive clinical efforts in behalf of dysphagic patients. He began his career in Seattle under the mentorship of Dr. George Larsen, one of the first speech pathologists to address the needs of dysphagic persons. Dr. Groher then moved to New York where he was the assistant chief of audiology and speech pathology at the VA Medical Center. In 1990 he was appointed service chief at the VA Medical Center in Tampa Florida. He was Clinical Professor and Associate Chair in the Department of Communicative Disorders at the University of Florida Health Science Center for several years. He is currently Professor of Communicative Disorders at Redlands University in Redlands California. Read more Read more about this author
