Author Sarah Melamed is a clinical audiologist. She obtained her Bachelor of Arts degree in Audiology and Speech Sciences from Michigan State University in 1996 and her Master of Science degree from Wayne State University in 1998. From 1998 until 2002 she worked in a clinical setting providing diagnostic and rehabilitative services for adults and children. Currently she is enrolled in the Ph.D. program at the University of Illinois. She is a member of the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA), the American Academy of Audiology (AAA), and the American Tinnitus Association (ATA). She is licensed to practice audiology in the state of Illinois.
