Katie
Schwartz, CCC-SLP is the director of Business Speech Improvement,
a corporate speech pathology practice. She is also the author of
Talking on the Job:
The World of Corporate Speech Pathology, and had just had it published
when an anonymous frustrated speech pathologist called, asking “I
don't
want to do corporate speech pathology. What ELSE can I do?” Startled,
Katie responded that she had no idea what else this unknown person
could do. However, the question gnawed at Katie. She researched
the topic and wrote another book entitled Alternative
Career Options for Speech-Language Pathologists. “I have
an insatiable curiosity about what people do for a living, and have several “alternative
career sidelines” myself!” Katie
reports.
